Commercial Lamb Trial Display Day  - 27 Sept 12 Noon

Anden Stud would like to personally invite all interested clients to our commercial lamb trial field day.

Friday the 27th of September at 12 noon

What to expect

Lambs on display

• 120 lambs on display sired by 5 different White suffolk sires and 5 different UltraWhite Sires. Out of a commercial merino ewe base.
• All sires used are of differing ASBV's to give a range of data so we can see the impact of ASBV's when producing lambs.
• Carcass of a select few, will be on display with taste testing. This will be to show what the scan data means when we translate this into the animal in front of you.
• Lambs penned in different sire groups with ASBV's for the individual sires shown to get an overview of what each set of data will produce.
• See the difference in the lambs visually, sired by White Suffolk and UltraWhite sires.
• Presentation around the process behind the trial and what comes next. With a breakdown of the findings.
• General discussion around all things ASBV's

Drafter Demonstration

Tim Johnsson from breed elite will be running a drafter and software demonstration, this will be a practical session using our drafter and software. Anyone interested in moving forward with their sheep management systems this is definitely something to consider.

Selected Rams On Display

This year's draft of specially selected rams will be on display for those who would like an early look over the potential stud sires to be sold at our sale on the 3rd of October.
